Cancer Gave Me Life Foundation, Inc. sponsored a Spring Self Care Day for 15 Novant Health breast cancer patients, which was held at the Novant Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center. It was an opportunity for the patients to navigate to various rooms within the Center and gather gifts for their personalized gift baskets. Lunch was also served. It was an opportunity for the breast cancer patients, to fellowship, and share their personal journeys (with other patients while being creative at the same time).
Cancer Gave Me Life Foundation, Inc. sponsored a Breast Cancer Awareness Month Luncheon for 40 Novant Cancer Institute breast cancer patients, which was held at the Novant Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center on October 23rd for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It was an opportunity to connect with breast cancer patients, fellowship, and share our personal journeys (which are each different).
The Beaver Creek Baptist Church held its Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser. I had the honor of serving as a judge for the Antique Car and Truck Competition, contributing to the fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Awareness. The event showcased numerous impeccably maintained and stunning cars and trucks.
Cancer Gave Me Life Foundation, Inc. hosted a Paint & Sip Social in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Novant Health Cancer Institute Kemp Bessant Support Center. This event was attended by a group of Novant Health breast cancer patients that were recently diagnosed and just started or will be starting treatment.
They were guided through the painting session by an amazing Artist/Facilitator via Wine & Design (Charlotte). The patients enjoyed their creativity, conversations, lunch and gifts. A special shout to Queen City Poppin for the gourmet popcorn donations.
The event was well received and they all walked away with an amazing piece of art and big smiles.
